  • Enrichment

The St James' curriculum extends so much further than individual subjects taught in class. We have a carefully planned enrichment curriculum that aims to ensure all children have a rich and varied experiences that aims to build their character, resilience and determination. We want all children to not only achieve at the highest academic level but to have a great time, try new skills and become a valued member of the community.

We approach enrichment with 4 key aims:

    • Build Diversity through the curriculum
    • Grow leadership through responsibility
    • Engage children in community and volunteering opportunities
    • Encourage and support performing and taking part.

It would be impossible to showcase all that is on offer at St James'. However, there are a number of feature events that exemplify all that makes St James' special.

    End of Year Show

We want every child to have the opportunity to perform throughout each year. This might be a new instrument they have learnt, a performance as part of the choir or the whole school show which takes place at the end of each academic year.

    Sports Day

By competing for the school, children develop a deep sense of belonging and self-worth. Each year, every child has the opportunity to compete for the school in a variety of sporting events. Sports Day is a highlight of the year and the whole community gathers to celebrate and cheer on each competitor.
